12 May 2020

To all my participants

I hope everyone has stayed well since my last update. I am sure it has been a trying time for everyone, personally and professionally but we can now see a light at the end of the tunnel, thankfully.

Firstly, I would like to thank the wonderful people who were understanding and sent me a kind email after my last update. It was very much appreciated, especially during such a stressful time.

Moving Forward

As many of you may know, as of the 15th May 2020, the NSW Government will be lifting restrictions on gatherings of up to 10 people.

As the majority of my workshops are more than 10 people, it does not apply to many of my workshops that were postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions.

My workshops will mainly fall under Stage 2 of the Government’s plan, and it is likely we won’t receive the go ahead to proceed until early June.

I also have workshops in the ACT, so I need to monitor the lifting of their restrictions as well.

So, over the next month or so, I will be working to slowly rebook the workshop dates with the original venues.

Of course, this all relies on the restrictions being lifted and not tightened again and when the venues themselves will be allowed to reopen. Fingers crossed all goes well.

Additionally, as these venues will have a lot of backlog (just like myself) to work through, I may need to book with a different venue. I will be working this out over the coming weeks.

I do not anticipate any workshops being held before July (excluding local, small workshops), so all previously booked dates will be rescheduled.

If you had booked a workshop, you will receive an email notification of the new date and if required, the new venue.

Please be patient as this is going to be a slow process for myself and the venues working out the new details.

As always, this update will be posted on my website and you are also welcome to follow me on Facebook page to keep up to date.

26 March 2020

To all my participants

I am saddened to advise that all workshops are now postponed due to the Government’s  restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Workshops are postponed until we receive advice from the government that it’s safe to recommence.

As these workshops have been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances and due to restrictions from the government, unfortunately I cannot provide a refund to each participant. I can, however, provide one of the following remedies:

  • In-person Workshop Credit - Receive a credit to a future workshop (once the Government advises small events can proceed safely, I will be booking new dates); or

  • Online-Workshop Credit - Join me for an online workshop – One-on-one or a live streamed Youtube workshop; or

  • Online-Workshop Credit - If you are self-isolating at home with your family, we can arrange an online workshop for all of you to participate at the same time; or

  • Online-Workshop Credit - Private online workshops can be arranged for friends and family to watch remotely

I understand some people may find this unfair. But please remember, nothing about this whole situation is fair right now. My small business I worked extremely hard for (and very passionate about) is now defunct for the next couple of months (best case scenario), and as a result, I will need assistance from the Government like so many thousands of other struggling Australians.

It has been an extremely disappointing, frustrating and stressful past couple of weeks. Over this difficult time, I have also received a large amount of social media messages, phone calls, emails, and text messages from concerned participants.  Any communication should be directed solely to my email and please remember to be civil and kind.

Booking an Online Workshop

If you would like to book an online one-on-one workshop, please visit my website and navigate to the bottom of the list and select the workshop “For participants of postponed in-person workshops only”

In terms of supplies you will need for these online workshops, unfortunately it is not viable for me to send supplies out to each and every participant, particularly as the locations of my workshops are spread out significantly, the additional costs of shipping (due to the weight of the supplies) and trying to self-isolate as much as possible. However, to try and make up for not being able to provide supplies, I can increase the amount of time of the workshop and provide a list of the basic supplies you’ll need to source (preferably on-line to avoid crowds). This is not a perfect solution and it hasn’t been easy trying to work out measures to help participants. I have spent a great deal of time trying to figure out solutions. This is an unprecedented situation. I will try and help where I possibly can.

Don’t forget though, if you do not want to do an online workshop, you can join me at an in-person workshop once we are given the all-clear.

I hope this pandemic is over as soon as possible and we can all get back to normal. I sincerely hope every person and their family stays healthy, and I hope to see you in the near future.

Kind regards
